Common airflow warning signs
- Normal loads take two cycles or longer.
- The dryer cabinet, laundry room, or clothes feel unusually hot.
- The outside vent flap barely opens while the dryer runs.
- Lint builds up behind the dryer or around the exterior vent.
When a pro cleaning makes sense
A homeowner can sometimes clean a short, straight vent. A professional visit makes more
sense when the vent is long, has bends, exits high or through the roof, keeps clogging,
or the dryer is running hot.
What Lintwell checks
- The accessible dryer vent path.
- The dryer location and transition hose area.
- The exterior exit when it can be safely reached.
- Before and after photos when the layout allows.
